Remind for aunt Ethel

The coffee shop

We see JIM, a tall, lanky man, nervously fidgeting with his coffee cup. Suddenly, his phone rings.

JIM: (answering the phone) Hello?

CALLER: (on the phone) Jim! It's your mother!

JIM: Oh, hi Mom. What's up?

CALLER: Well, I just wanted to remind you that tomorrow is your Aunt Ethel's birthday. You promised you would call her and wish her a happy birthday.

JIM: (groans) Oh, right. I forgot about that.

CALLER: (chuckles) You always forget things, Jim. That's why I'm here to remind you.

JIM: (smiling) Yeah, thanks Mom. I appreciate it.

Suddenly, a beautiful woman, SARAH, walks into the coffee shop. Jim's eyes light up.

JIM: (to his mother) Mom, I gotta go. I'll call Aunt Ethel later.

CALLER: (laughing) I understand. Good luck, Jim.

Jim hangs up the phone and walks over to Sarah.

JIM: Hi, I'm Jim.

SARAH: Hi, I'm Sarah.

JIM: Can I buy you a cup of coffee?

SARAH: Sure, that would be nice.

They sit down at a table and start talking. Suddenly, Jim's phone rings again.

JIM: (answering the phone) Hello?

CALLER: (on the phone) Jim! It's your Aunt Ethel!

JIM: (groans) Oh, hi Aunt Ethel. I'm sorry, I forgot to call you earlier.

CALLER: (angrily) Jim, you promised you would call me! You never keep your promises!

JIM: (sheepishly) I'm sorry, Aunt Ethel. I'll make it up to you, I promise.

CALLER: (calming down) Alright, Jim. Just make sure you call me back soon.

JIM hangs up the phone and looks at Sarah, who is giving him a quizzical look.

JIM: (to Sarah) That was my Aunt Ethel. She's mad at me because I forgot her birthday.

SARAH: (smiling) Well, you better make it up to her.

JIM: (nodding) Yeah, I will. But first, let me buy you that coffee.

Sarah smiles and takes a sip of her coffee as the camera fades to black.
